Disney Pixar Brave Review: Sing, Dance, Laugh, Cry

On Tuesday night, Honey and I had the opportunity to see Disney Pixar's Brave at the San Francisco Centre Century 9 Theater.  We had the best seats we've ever had of all our movie outings!  There was even some pre-movie festivities from a dance student from the San Jose School of Highland Dancing.  She performed some traditional Scottish dances and really set the mood for the movie.  It made Honey want to pull me up off my seat to dance.  It also made us want to send Kiggster to take dance lessons when she's old enough so she can have a hopping' and kicking' time! When the movie started, it was time to put on those 3D glasses and let them take us away to Scotland.  Watching the movie in 3D was a rich and captivating experience.  Throughout the movie, I felt I was right there next to the characters, at times I wanted to reach out and touch or grab something and even scenes of the waterfall and sunset were so … [Read more...]

What did you do with your textbooks in college after each Quarter or Semester was over? Did you try to sell it? Reuse it? Or did you say to yourself that you would probably need to look at it again sometime in the future only to find it still unopened and collecting dust on a bookshelf five years later?  I know for myself, I purchased all my books new and kept all of them even after finishing those classes with the mentality that I would need to “reference” them again in the future.  I had a hard time selling my used textbooks online or selling them back to the university because almost 99% of the times, the classes weren’t using the same book or edition the following quarter! I never even thought about renting textbooks but did.  It’s such a great idea to rent rather than buy. They even allow highlighting in your textbook, which makes studying much easier. offers different rental periods to … [Read more...]

366 Project: Week 18

Wow, I totally know this is coming like way late...over a month later but I am trying to catch up.  Thanks for being patient with me during this time.  If you don't know what's been happening, you can read my postings, How Does One Find Hope In A Hopeless Situation and New Beginnings: Light At The End Of The Tunnel, to see what's going on for us right now. If you haven't had a chance to catch up on Week 17, you can check out the photos here! Week 18: April 29-May 5 Day 120 (April 29): So it was a surprisingly nice day on this day, especially surprising for my parents' neck of the woods.  Their neighborhood is usually foggy, windy and cold but this day, it was actually sunny outside.  Kiggster got to go outside and play for the first time in their backyard!  She also got to play with the fishes there.  Ok, feed them is more like it.  She fed them one pellet at a time.  My parents have about 10 koi fishes that probably … [Read more...] Get Paid to Share Coupon Codes

It's no secret that I love shopping, especially with online shopping where I can find coupon codes for just about every purchase I make!  I usually just Google for coupon codes and then try out all the codes for the site that I am making a purchase for.  Many of the times, they are failed attempts because people either post expired, invalid, or just make up codes.  Then I found out about and saw that they are not only a site for finding coupon codes but they also have a Pays-2-Share program. Through the Pay-2-Share program, people like you and I can upload coupon codes into the Coupon Chief system for their participating online sites.  Then when someone successfully uses the coupon code we uploaded, we get 2% of the sales.  Once our Pay-2-Share account has reached $25, then Coupon Chief will either issue a check or send money through Paypal!  I've never gotten paid to share coupons before from other sites so Coupon Chief definitely has a great incentive program going … [Read more...]

Happy Father’s Day!

Happy Father's Day!!!  So the 2 awesome Dads I want to honor today would of course be Honey and my own Dad, the two most important men in my life!     Honey's 2nd Father's Day this year, woohoo!  Honey is not only an amazing husband but a tentative, loving, and patient father to Kiggster!  He was able to stay home with Kiggster for her first year while going to grad school and that was such invaluable bonding time for the two of them.  You can also see the picture collages I made for Honey when he had to leave his role as full-time caretaker to Kiggster and work 2 interships while going to school full time!  Come see the Reminiscing on Daddy Times posting!  He was so sad to be leaving her in the care of another, though our sitter is awesome too but no one can replace Honey and the wonderful things he teaches her.  He's helped Kiggster to fall in love with nature, animals (both of which I probably wouldn't have … [Read more...]
