Always Have Hope + Free Printables

Always Hope Gray

Sometimes it's hard to believe that things will turn out on the upside when a lot of things seem to be looking down. Things have not been a walk in the park for our family in the last couple years whether it was health, jobs, or finances.  However, looking in hindsight at them, good has come out of all of those situations.  Whether it was Honey losing his job but during that time, he got to be there for Kiggster and I when I went to all my ultrasounds (yup, had one almost every month), then he got to spend Kiggster's whole 1st year with her and finally, that lead him to make the jump into getting his Master's degree!  Financially things have also not been super easy for us but we also made some decisions financially that would seem crazy to some but made the most sense to our family.  We decided to become a one-income family, especially since things weren't looking good with my last company.  However, that also meant we could no longer afford to stay in our condo and we made the decision to move back in with Honey's family.  But it has been the best decision because I am able to stay home with Kiggster, take her to go on lunch dates and surprise visits to Daddy, and also being able to work on building my baby sign language business.  This precious time in her youth, we won't be able to get back and she is growing so much each and every day!  I can get discouraged easily when times get tough but then somehow, God always seems to provide and give us what we need even though it might not make sense to me at the time.

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  ~Jeremiah 29:11

Even in the most unexpected times, what seems like the most hopeless situations, or financial crunches, God has shown to us that he's listening and he's there for us.  Just when I've been worried about our finances lately, God sent us some encouragement.  Late last week, I woke up to an email from the Fairy Hobmother!  Fariy Hobmother has been flittering around from blog to blog, showering them with pixie dust love and letting them know what a great job they are doing on their blog!  This is a part of the message that I received from the Fairy Hobmother:

I have to say that I was impressed with what I saw. You clearly work very hard on your blog and I think that such hard work deserves to be rewarded. I’d like to send you a gift in the form of a voucher for Amazon.

Wow, I was amazed to have gotten a visit on my blog and it just feels so nice to be recognized for the work that you put into something!  Then the Amazon voucher is just the cherry on top, the compliment was the real ice cream sundae!  It was God's way of sending some hope my way!

Don't lose hope in any situation and don't stop believing that God would provide for you in all things!  Is there anything that you have lost hope about?  What are some ways that help you to hold on to hope?

Thank you Fairy Hobmother for visiting my blog and recognizing my work.  The Fairy Hobmother works for the fairy overlords at Appliances Online  and they'd love for you to visit them at their Kingdom!  Plus, if you're a blogger, make sure you leave a comment on this posting so that you could get the chance to be visited by the Fairy Hobmother.  I commented on New Years at another blogger's posting and just got a visit myself so I know it's not just a fairy tale!  Good Luck!

I made a 5X7 printable for you all to remember to always have hope.  There are 2 different backgrounds to choose from, I couldn't decide which I liked better.  Enjoy!

    • Hi Lizz, thanks for stopping by, I do hope you get a visit from the FH! I felt the same way, it seemed like everyone was getting a visit and when I finally got visited…it felt like “wow, this is it, this is how it feels like!” =P

  3. There's a reason behind everything, as long as we always look at the silver lining the message will be delivered! My own family has gone through our own share of struggles and while we may not be in such bad shape, we are still trying to catch up. There's always things that happen that make it next to impossible to catch up, so I know what a blessing it must have been to get paid a visit!
    God Bless! <3

    • Thanks Mama Harris for your encouraging words! I hope that you and your family are able to catch up, it does always seem like a hard thing to do but not losing that hope is important! I do hope that you’re able to get a visit soon from the FH! Thanks for visit by the way!

  9. Yep, I also know what it's like to have no job :/ My Husband lost his job back last year and struggled big time to find a new one. We ended up being evicted and were homeless for 4 months. Worst experience of my life but thankfully things are better now (Not perfect, but MUCH better) I always have to have hope too, I think I would have gone a bit loopy by now without it!!
Congrats on your Fairy Hobmother visit!

    • Wow, that is a lot that you and your husband went through! I am so glad you still held on to hope because you are right, with all that you went through, that could send anyone a little loopy if they were feeling hopeless! Thanks for stopping in and I will pray for your family to see better financial times!

  10. I know how it is to be out of work.My husband just lost his job and now we are both back to looking for work. I love that you say that you will always have hope. 11. I think it's so great that you had family that was able to help out like that.  When one door closes though another opens right?  Fingers crossed I get a visit from that Fairy Hobmother too.  Never heard of this, thanks for sharing.

    • Yes, we are very blessed that my husband’s family was willing to let us stay with them and make that type of decision for our family! I do believe that a door is always open, just not always the same one. I hope someone from this posting will get a visit from the Fairy Hobmother also so good luck!

  12. I'm definitely going to print one of these out (probably the one with the black background) after my husband passed away, it's been hard to have hope but this would definitely help remind me 🙂

  13. I absolutely love this post and your ability to find a silver lining in every situation. That's definitely an outlook more people need to have.

    • Thank you Lisa for stopping by and your encouragement! It was hard to see the good in different situations, heck, it’s still hard to see the good in situations, when I am going through them. But when I look back at things, that’s when I can say, “Oh yeah, it did work out, just not how I had planned it!” I still struggle with staying positive and filled with faith when things get tight financially or when I’m feeling cramped in our living situation, but looking at past experiences helps me to remember that God provides for me!

  14. Thanks for the printables — I am going to be hanging one in my office and on my fridge! It can be tough sometimes to stay positive and to know that things will get better and that this is all part of a bigger plan. Thank you for the reminder to have hope and look for the positive 🙂

    • Thanks Jessie! I am so glad you like the printable, my hope is that it could be something that people would enjoy and that it would bring them encouragement! It is hard to stay positive, but God sends us encouragement all along the way in many different forms so that we will have plenty of reminders! Thanks for stopping in!

  15. Hi Kathy 🙂 This is so encouraging.  I feel like God has really provided for us and brought us through many hard times in the past I can relate to this post.  Thank you for such and up-lifting post, and also for the free printables.  Have a great Monday xo

    • Hi Kristin, thank you for your kind words and I am sorry to hear that this past year was a hard one, but no one can help you through it better than God!

  16. I love printables and I love talking about hope and having faith! Thanks!

  17. Sometimes the hardest choices lead us to the greatest outcome! I'm fortunate to stay home with my son, too – and there are some days that I want to cry because he's growing so quickly!

    • Hi Emily, I completely agree, it was such a hard choice deciding whether to quit my job, move out of our previous home, and stay home with my daughter but it has been amazing! I know what you mean, I could be sitting and cuddling on the couch with my daughter and all of a sudden, I tear up because I am just so happy for that moment and I can’t believe how much she’s growing and changing!
