Beauty Bargains & Tips

I am so excited to introduce you all to Kristin from I Delight In You who will be sharing some beauty products with us from her very own personal collection and routine. I can't wait to try out some of those products because my skin and hair has been neglected for way too long!

Greetings and salutations.  I am honored that Kathy has invited me to guest post for her today.  My name is Kristin and you can find me at IDelightinyou.  I write about life, faith, crafting, beauty, music, and anything else I can imagine.  Today Kathy has asked me to share some beauty tips with you.

I'm a big advocate for health and natural beauty, and I am a licenced esthetician so I do alot of research on things I use.  Allergies have played a role in my life since I was little, so I do alot of label reading to search for chemicals and known allergens on product labels.   The shops I mention today are at home businesses run by great women that I have had the pleasure of getting to know.  Each of their stories is unique in itself so I hope you will take the time to check out their shops.I'll be sharing tips and products that I use on a weekly basis on my Face, Hair and Body let's get started.

My face has been a study in itself when it comes to finding products that work and don't cause irritation.  I have combination skin that is also acne prone & sensitive.  Thankfully when  looking online for products I came across Luscious Lather Organic, Vegan Bath & Beauty products 2 pamper you 🙂  Diane has a nice selection of good quality handmade products.  I've really enjoyed the Rosehip & Hibiscus Facial Cream with DMAE, MSM, Vitamins A, B, C, E for an eye cream as well as  the Ultra Gentle Deep Pore Creme Facial Cleanser with Green Tea & Antioxidants for a makeup remover.
I've also found this facial cleanser to work lovely as an exfoliate by adding a little brown sugar to it.  Diane is really sweet, and her selection includes not only facial products, but also haircare and body care.  So I encourage you to go have a look.

Like my face, I've also discovered I have allergies to certain products in body care as well.  I struggle with dryer skin on my body, especially in the winter months.  So I went on the hunt for a great body butter and came across Amy's store Pink Bow Bath Boutique.  Amy's body products are heavenly not only in feel, but also in scent.  She has a huge selection of scents you can choose from, or mix to formulate a custom scent all of your own.  My favorite products from her shop include the Beautiful Body Butter in the scent Pink Sugared Buttercream Puffs with a bit of gold shimmer added for a fun sparkle.  I use the body butter daily and love how my skin feels and smells.  I also love Amy's Whipped Cream Sugar Scrub .  I use the scrub about twice a week all over, and every time I shave to give a closer smoother result.
Amy is very friendly so if you have any questions about scents do not hesitate to ask.  I am a little addicted to her stuff.

My hair is naturally curly, and is also color treated which makes it dry and fickle when it comes to styling.  I've found sulfate free products to work the best for shampoo and conditioner.  Currently I'm using the It's a 10 line, but you can find other lines outside of the salon too.  Because I battle with a bit of dry scalp and product build up more so in the winter I've found that a clarifying shampoo once a week is really beneficial for a healthy scalp and brighter hair.  You can save yourself the hassle of having to buy a clarifying or dandruff shampoo by simply mixing a little baking soda with your shampoo once a week.  It doesn't take much, I have long hair and I use about a 1 1/2 tablespoons to equal parts shampoo.  Just massage it good while you work up a lather and then rinse and condition as usual.

I hope you all enjoyed reading about my favorites, and if you go visit Diane or Amy please let them know I sent you.   Also many thanks to Kathy for inviting me to guest post this week.  Wishing you all a wonderful week!

You can find Kristin at I Delight In You Blog, Twitter, and her jewelry at her Etsy Shop.  Go send her some love and if you end up using any of her recommended products, we'd both love to hear about it!  If you have any favorite beauty products or tips, please share!
