Cloud 9 Living: San Francisco Sunset Catamaran Cruise Review & Contest

Have you ever racked your brain trying to figure out the right gift for that hard-to-buy-for person?  Or the person that already has everything?!  Instead of a physical item that will probably just clutter up their house or get stashed in the basement, how about giving someone the gift of an experience?!  Cloud 9 Living is a Gift Experience company that offers unique and memorable experiences as gifts.  Just a little about the company:

Our Mission: To forever change the world of gift giving by enhancing people's lives through memorable experiences.

Founded in 2005, it was our belief that giving a gift should be more meaningful than just fulfilling an obligation; it should be about showing your recipient that you took time to find something they will truly love and remember for years.  We have partnered with over 600 "Best in Class" experience providers to create an unparalleled experience portfolio consisting of more than 1,700 experiences in 43 regions.  With experiences ranging from thrilling and adventurous to relaxing and cultural, we truly have something for every taste and every budget.

Honey and I were fortunate enough to be given the opportunity by Cloud 9 Living to go on a Sunset Catamaran Cruise in San Francisco for our 7 year wedding anniversary.   Our anniversary is actually in mid-December but we decided to go exactly one month earlier since the holidays are usually unpredictable with family activities, weather, and the big one…babysitting!  Since all the stars aligned for us for November 18th, we went ahead and booked our cruise.  I was sent an email from Cloud 9 Living with my gift certificate for a Sunset Catamaran Cruise for 2.  I went into the Cloud 9 Living website to book my cruise and it gave me the option either to book the cruise or use the credit towards a different experience.  I thought that was great because if we were to gift a specific experience to someone and they saw something different they wanted to try, they had the option to change it to something else.

Once I started the booking process, it gave me the option to choose my first 3 choices for dates and times or just fill out one.  Then I received a booking confirmation email from Cloud 9 Living with all the details for our cruise, which included cruise time, length, location, directions, etc.  Then a week before the cruise, I received a reminder email!   It ended up being such a beautiful day, no rain, low wind, and we even had a smaller group on the cruise so it was nice and intimate.

Being given the chance to go on this experience definitely left us with memories that will last and stay with us for a long time.  Being on the catamaran cruise was definitely different from the dinner cruise I wanted to go on originally.  Honey actually got to help pull up the sails with the rest of the men who were on the cruise and it was fun!  Can't you just see the joy in all their faces working for their cruise?!

It wasn't just the beautiful sunset, the cityscape, the lit up night sky or even the hungry seagull chasing the catamaran that made it such an amazing evening but the uninterrupted conversation we were able to have and also the memories that will be forever engrained in our minds long after the night ended!  The Adventure Cat staff that chartered the sunset catamaran cruise were wonderful, setting up not only drinks and light hors d'oeuvre but also had music playing once we stepped in to make the 90 minute cruise a complete package!

Because we were out in Pier 39/Fisherman's Wharf, we decided to make it a full night and walked around town, looking at Honey's favorite art gallery, peeking into little shops, stopping for photo ops, trying to catch the tree lighting, and even stopping over at our favorite jewelry store that evening.  We ended the evening with some dinner at Blue Mermaid which has some amazing chowders and what we discovered was a really great cioppino dish!  Yup, that's me just "peeking" at the dessert menu after dinner!  Then of course we had to snap a pic with the early anniversary gift Honey got for me at Na Hoku!  I loooove my earrings Honey!

Cloud 9 Living helps build memories and we had a full night of them!  I love that I can easily search on their website for experiences, no matter what state or region I might be in, especially if we are going to be traveling.  Honey is actually already planning his next experience that he wants me to give him for his birthday!  So he wants to gather up some of his geeky buddies and head out on a DaVinci's Gold Scavenger Hunt next year!  It actually sounds like fun, mostly the working in teams to sabotage other teams, find treasure, desipher clues, and just spending a day together building unique memories!  How many people do you know going around the city doing a DaVinci's Gold Scavenger Hunt?!

You can purchase your own experience from Cloud 9 Living through their website or follow them on Facebook and  Twitter for any updates and specials.  Currently they have the 9 Days of  Christmas Contest going on and you get the chance to win one of 9 different experiences from Dinner Cruises, Spa Packages, Skydiving, White Water Rafting, and more.  Just enter one time here before December 16th and you'll have the chance to win any of the 9 experiences.  You can still enter up December 23rd but you will miss out on the previous days experiences so enter early!

Kangaroo Mama was provided the service for free from the sponsor company for review but the opinions stated in this posting are completely my own honest opinion and not influenced by the sponsor company.
