Estrogen Overload

Eva, me, & Jessica (Kiggster’s Yee-Po) at Table 25!

So as I mentioned in a previous post, Friday April 15th was Women’s Day.  It was so much fun to be there with other women and I think even the Kiggster had fun at her very 1st Women’s Day!  There were over 300 women who attended the event and there were some beautiful tables there!  The theme of the event was “A Life Worth Living” and women shared vulnerably about the things in their lives and inspired others on finding faith in their own.  Some of the points were about how as women we like to stuff all our feelings, hurts, disappointments, etc inside ourselves and not express them to anyone, not even to our friends or to God.

Isaiah 30: 12-13 says “Because you have rejected this message, relied on oppression and depended on deceit, this sin will become for you like a high wall, cracked and bulging, that collapses suddenly, in an instant.”  The things we are stuff inside of us just keeps building up but eventually this wall will no longer be stable or standing and just collapses.  But in Hosea 1: 12 “…and plow up the hard ground of your hearts, for now is the time to seek the Lord,” it gives us hope that our hearts can be soft again with God.  “With God’s power working in us, we can do much, much more than anything we can ask or imagine” Ephesians 3:20.

It was a great evening to start having hope again in our lives by talking in our table discussions about faith in each of our lives and how the bible and friends contribute to that.  There were good appetizers, fun games, and great prizes.  For those of us that don’t ever win anything each year, everyone was a winner that night.  We all ended up getting goody bags full of Kiehl’s products and even some BareMinerals samples!
Hope you join us next time!

That’s Grandma before the event started
Then again after the event!

Yup, that’s Kiggy’s Yee-Po (Great-Aunt)
Yee-Po was getting her baby fix that nite!

After a whole night of playing (others playing with her more like it), being passed around, and photo ops, the Kiggster was really tired!  Too bad her Yee-Yee Tina wasn’t there to help her fall asleep.  We missed you at the event Tina!  Well, that was a wrap for the night of fun!!!
