Nuby: Tear-Free Rinse Pail Review

I was recently given a Nuby Tear-Free Rinse Pail for review and I have to admit, I wasn't sure how it would work out for us.  Kiggster loves water but hates having water in her eyes and can't be bothered with me rinsing her while she is playing with her toys either!

When I received the tear-free rinse pail, I was surprised at the size, for some reason, I thought it was going to be a lot smaller but it was actually bigger than Kiggster's head.   There weren't dimensions given in the item description but when I measured it, it was approximately,     x     x     x.   The larger size turned out to be a good thing because I didn't have to continuously refill the pail to get her head all rinsed.  It's only been taking around 2 scoops of water with the pail to get out all the suds!   Here is what Nuby says about their rinse pail:

The Tear-Free Rinse Pail is designed to make bath time easier and more enjoyable for you and your little one. It features a comfortable grip for mom, a deep, slender base for easy filling in shallow water and a unique tear-free edge. The tear-free edge is soft and contoured so it can be gently placed against your baby's skin to help prevent water from running into your baby's eyes while rinsing their hair.

I really like the soft contoured edge, it makes it so it fits nicely around not just Kiggster's forehead but the back of neck so that I when I pour the water, it actually rinses the front of her body also.  Sometimes when we give her bath time, she can't be bothered with us rinsing the front of her body because she is busy with her toys so it's nice that I can do it from the back of her and it doesn't "interrupt" her playtime!

When I use it on her forehead and tilt back, the water runs down the back and sides of her head, however, since she's had bad experiences in the past with things running into her eyes, she tends to fidget a lot so it does end up in her face when she moves.  Kiggster has found another use for the rinse pail…it's become another play toy for her in the bath where she collects water to pour on herself!  She actually has fun with it and the comfort grip has been handy not just for me but for her too, perfect for her little hands!

The Tear-Free Rinse Pail can be purchased on BuyBabyDirect.com for $5.99 and there are several color choices: Pink, Aqua, and Blue.  We got the Pink and it really stands out amongst her other bath toys!
