Rock Out!!!!

Isn’t she just beautiful?!  This was her little Korean dress that Yee-Yee bought her and let her wear for Mother’s Day last weekend.  Thanks Kow Foo for sending us the picture so we could share it with others.  Remember the photos Tina and I tried to take with Jason’s fancy-shmancy camera but messed up with the wrong setting?!  Well, they all were really bright but I did say some kinda looked cool…the picture above was one of them!  She’s so cute, yes I know, you wanna make it your desktop background too!!!

So this past weekend we had a friend come into town that we knew from our San Diego days (actually Honey’s college days) but she’s now moved to Monterey, which is so much closer!  Amy and her son, Henry, came in Saturday afternoon and we all had a slumber party!  Henry is the most mature, well-behaved, and respectful 3 year old I’d ever met…actually I kept thinking he was 5 because he doesn’t really look or act like he’s 3!  We all put together this foam mat that Po-Po bought for Kiggster and had fun with it…

I had actually delayed putting together the mat because I thought it would be a lot bigger and I wanted to move our rug out to replace it with the foam mat instead, except it was a lot smaller than I thought!  I think we need a second one to cover some more grounds!  You’ll see what I mean from the photos later in this posting.  But, nevertheless, we like the foam mat, the pieces were the perfect size, not too big and not too small and they make perfect little cubed boxes!

So Henry was playing with one of Kiggster’s toys (this piano/band thing), which in the past, she never really had much interest in.  It was an awesome $5 garage sale find that had keyboard, trumpet, drums, turn tables, mic, saxaphone, and lotsa other noises.  He was totally rocking out on it Saturday evening ’cause he said he loved Rock ‘n Roll.  Then by Sunday morning this is what I walked over to see…

HUH?!  When did she start reaching the piano & sitting up by herself?  We normally keep the boppy pillow behind her to keep her from falling back but I couldn’t believe she was just sitting by herself and she sat up without falling for about 15 minutes…at least!  We used to have to tilt the piano down for her ’cause she couldn’t see or reach it in the past…she’s growing up too fast!  I thought she’d start whining for someone to pick her up because she normally isn’t all that interested in this toy but boy was I wrong because I think the moment kids see other kids playing with toys, they learn to see the toy’s potential!  The playing started slow at first…

First, it was slowly pressing buttons and being surprised by the noises, then moving the “turn tables” and being pleasantly surprised that it also made noise and then she was shown the ropes by the “real” Rock ‘n Roller…

Now we’re comfortable playing this thing for real!  Don’t you hold me back!

Oh yeah baby, watch me rock out!!!!  This is awesome stuff, the faster my arms move, the more noise it makes!  Give a hand to DJ Rayne in the house!!!!

DJ Rayne spinnin’ some sick beats up in here!!!  She’s serious about her music, can’t deny that!  So of course, after all that hard work entertaining, even the pros need a snack break…

Mmmm, yummy keyboard!  Tonight’s entertainment was brought to you by Club Kiggster featuring DJ Rayne, hope you enjoyed yourself!!!
